An Energy Meter measures electrical energy consumption over time, typically in kilowatt-hours, at a point in the distribution system. In data centers energy meters are installed throughout the power chain to monitor consumption by systems, halls or tenants, supporting efficiency metrics such as PUE, capacity planning, cost allocation and sustainability reporting.
