A DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) File is an open, largely text-based CAD file format developed by Autodesk to exchange drawing data between different CAD applications. In data centers it is used to transfer geometry between software that cannot share DWG directly, such as passing layouts to fabrication or analysis tools, preserving vector data across platforms.
