Cooling Tower

Heat Rejection

A Cooling Tower is a heat-rejection device that cools condenser water by evaporating a portion of it as air passes through, transferring heat to the atmosphere. In data centers it serves water-cooled chillers and can enable water-side economization, but consumes water and requires treatment against scaling and Legionella. Its performance is limited by the ambient wet-bulb temperature.
