Blinding Concrete is a thin layer of weak concrete placed over a prepared formation to provide a clean, level working surface, seal the ground and protect reinforcement before the structural foundation is cast. In data centers blinding is laid beneath pile caps, rafts and footings so that reinforcement can be set out accurately and kept clear of the soil.
